INTRODUCTION
Marie-Louise Small has researched all manner of UFO related subjects vigorously in recent years. Her original idea was to set up a magazine, not unlike Encounters but unfortunately due to distribution problems the project collapsed. The result was that Marie was left with a huge amount of fascinating
research and material and no-where for it to go. That is, until we asked her to put this book together.
US Coverups and associated subjects are at the heart of Ufology. If there are UFOs that have crashed on Earth and if the governments do have knowledge of the phenomenonj there has never been an official admission. The US has been under suspicion since the 40s of hiding this information from the general public. This book explores the whole issue in great depth and will most certainly open your eyes.

he US Government is not only aware of the existence of UFOs but has been working alongside aliens to develop advanced technology and learn sophisticated mind-control
techniques since at least the 1930s or 1940s, according to eye-witness accounts from ex-military and former government officials. They claim there’s been at least some form of collaboration between their Government and aliens that has resulted in not only massive abductions of humans, but a genetic-breeding programme that has spawned hybrid babies. At the far end of these bizarre claims is the one that the US Government conducted numerous time-travel experiments between 1943 and 1983, risking civilian populations in each decade along the way.
Until recently, to say you had evidence of a huge Government UFO cover-up was tantamount to . admitting you were schizophrenic and suffered from deep-seated delusions and paranoid tendencies. You might just as well have confessed to receiving secret messages from Jupiter via the hidden transmitter in your brain. Since in the past such claims tended to appear in isolation, it was easier to dismiss them as paranoid ravings. Pieced together however; they point to what could be a seriously chilling cover-up of epic proportions.
But are they all just part of yet another Big Conspiracy Theory? Is it really possible for any

government to hide such a huge secret operation, considering the sheer volume of personnel, equipment and information that would be involved?
Yes, according to witnesses. Simply throw the -tightest security net possible over the whole project, limit the access to information and test sites and allow only personnel in on a very restricted need-to-know basis. Some of those same witnesses go a step further and suggest the American Government uses sophisticated brainwashing techniques on personnel to remove all memories of the secret projects. They have said that the Government has wiped the , records (for example, details of social welfare, bifth, marriage, tax and bank details etc.). A new way of wiping the slate clean! ,
John Lear; former US airline pilot and author; is a prominent believer in the idea that the Government uses those techniques to keep a lid on its secret UFO programme. “They do it with drugs and hypnosis. It was developed starting in 1955. They dp it by first drugging the person who is brought into the programme in combination with hypnosis. They structure it so that when a person works in the project, he’s totally knowledgeable and conversant but when he leaves, the memory leaves him.”
The scale of deception, according to those in the know, is huge. One report, in the American UFO compilation report, ‘Matrix II*, estimated the US Government had retrieved 35 spacecraft and 131 alien bodies during the past 45 years. Other reports

include sightings of dead aliens aboard crashed UFOs, of live aliens working in underground military bases, and of hybrid-breeding programmes and other experiments taking place there. ‘ Direct contact with alien visitors began, the former officials claim, in the 1950s whenthe US Government made a pact to allow aliens access to humans for experimental purposes in return for information on mind control, beam weaponry and gravitation.
William E Hamilton Di, author of Cosmic Top Secret, said in 1990, “I believe that we have now come down a 43-year-old road of development’ from extraterrestrial crashed discs to aerospace ‘ advanced technology aircraft and that through all of these years, the United States has been engaged in a secret space programme.” ‘
Why would the US Government be so keen to ■ produce their own UFO-type aircraft? Former US Government scientist, Bob Lazar explained the UFO spacecraft involved the mastery of gravity – ■
something Earth scientists are apparently still grappling with. Alien saucers are able to generate an artificial gravity field and thereby control spacetime, since gravity influences both time-and space. By doing so, aliens are able to warp time and travel through space in almost an instant. The implication of such knowledge and power is immense.
Lazar appeared on CBS-affiliate, KLAS-TV in’ Las Vegas in November 1989 to discuss his part in

the UFO cover-up as part of a locally-aired series, UFOs: The Best Evidence. Lazar also passed a liedetector test at the time, which was arranged by KLAS-TV’s anchorman, George Klap.
He said he worked on a saucer that was powered by an anti-matter reactor which used a substance, element 115, which cannot be found naturally on Earth and is virtually impossible to synthesise. The saucers, he said, run gravity amplifiers and use gravity waves as humans would use microwaves. After his first public announcement, Lazar’s personal records (including employment; school, banking and ‘taxation) were reportedly completely removed.
He said he had worked aS a propulsion-system engineer in late 1988 and early 1989 on one of nine extraterrestrial spacecraft being researched and tested on the Nellis Air Range in central Nevada, north of Las Vegas. Within the Nellis Air Range is the highly-secretive Groom Lake site (which is also known as ‘Area 5T or ‘Dreamland’). The research was known as ‘Project Galileo’.
“Not long after (being hired), I was flown along with several others out to Area 51 on the Nellis Air Range. There, we were put on a bus with blacked-out windows and driven about 15 miles south to the Papoose dry lake bed, bordered by the Pappose ‘ Mountains, where there was an instalment they called S-4’. “I was assigned”, Lazar said, “back engineering tasks on the reactor and gravity-propulsion system IMEIItn UFO COVER-UP of one of the discs – essentially to help figure out what made it work.” • The disc did not appear to be damaged in any . way, Lazar said, which made him doubt whether it had been retrieved from an alien crash. In the briefing reports, Lazar said there were pictures of several discs along with some of the information . that had already been obtained from other back- ■ engineering research, “I was stunned and exhilarated at the same ; time,” he said. Although he was keen to find out more about the ’ project, Lazar said the heavy security around the site stopped him from doing’so, . “Security, in fact, was- oppressive. You were escorted everywhere, even the bathroom. If your security clearance badge was even slightly askew, the guards would rush up and. hold you at gunpoint until your supervisor came to identify you,” claimed Lazar. “At times, the whole thing seemed just surreal. There was a poster of the disc I was working on, which I dubbed the Sport Model, on several walls. It read: ‘They’re herein” . Information was compartmentalised so Lazar was restricted to examine only the parts of the project he was authorised to work. on. “…Although we were given the chance on occasion and only for short periods of time to read briefing reports that detailed other aspects of this project. The reports I INEIICn UFO tlKI-lF I read that dealt with power and propulsion systems were accurate, I proved that to myself by working on the system.” ‘ He read in one of the reports that the disc was from the Zeta Reticuli star system. “Now, obviously I didn’t fly in a craft or go to that star system, so I don’t really know if it came from there. I didn’t speak to any aliens or see any, so I don’t know if they exist or not.” The report said that the aliens had told officials they had been visiting our planet for 10,000 years, that humans were the product of externally corrected evolution,, and they, the aliens, were integral to the accelerated evolution of man.’ Lazar also claimed that he entered the disc he was working on several times. It was about 15 feet tall and about 52 feet in diameter and made of what looked like brushed stainless steel. “It had no physical seams, no welds or bolts or rivets, and it looked as if it was injection moulded.” Inside, there were tiny seats that would have been too small for an average-sized human. Lazar could barely stand up and bumped his head quite often. There were no right-angles inside the craft, no corners or sharp sides arid everything was . smoothly curved.
The reactor; which produced anti-matter and then reacted it with matter in an annihilation reaction, was only about 18 inches in diameter and 12 inches tall, and was located in the centre of the disc. The

system worked so smoothly that there was no, wasted heat or latent energy. “It was phenomenal, approaching a lOO^percent dynamic efficiency… All 1 can say is that this technology is well beyond anything that We now know with our 20th Century knowledge,” said Lazar.
The crafts were tested at Groom Lake, Lazar claimed. “One afternoon my colleagues and I walked out onto the dry lake bed. The disc on which we had been working, the Sport Model, had already been moved out of the hangar and was beginning to lift off. Except for a slight hissing, it made no noise. It lifted to about 30 feet off the ground. The hissing stopped and it just hung silently in the air, moving to the left, then right. It was absolutely amazing.”
It is intriguing why Lazar was allowed to leave the project with his memories intact. “My tolerance for the intensive security rapidly diminished. Because of the 24-hour telephone surveillance, they found out I was having marital problems and told me the situation had made me a candidate for ‘emotional instability’. They then took my security clearance and told me I could reapply in six months;”
But Lazar wanted to show his friends what he had been working on. He knew-the test schedule and so one night, he and his friends went out-into the Nevada Desert, and watched a test flight. “We got away with it that time so we started, coming back again and again.”
The third time they watched the disc go through
INEtlCI‘5 9F0 COTER-UP
its night tests, they were spotted arid caught by the Wackerihut Security guards on land that surrounded the range. Lazar was turned in, debriefed and threatened by security at the base. He admitted being scared and finally decided that his only option would be to tell the story on television, “t figured if they killed me, then it would simply prove what I was saying is true.”
Lear supports the claim about the spacecrafts at Groom Lake. .
“There are a lot more saucers but they are kept in various other areas…The technology is so far ; advanced that there is very little hope of using ■ any of it.” .
Other spacecrafts are kept in at least five Air Force bases including Wright-Patterson, Homestead and Kirtland. Lear, who has directed the media to precise locations for. sightings of the military’s spacecraft tests, said he saw a flying saucer over Groom Lake on March 22, 1989. “In the distance it looked like a dancing light. When I looked at it through a Celestron telescope it was definitely a disk. I saw it and others also saw it.”
ALIEN TECHNOLOGY
So what has the Government done with the information it gleaned from all this studying? The spycraft ‘U-2’ flown by Francis Gary Powers over the Soviet Union in 1960 was test flown at Groom

Lake, which has the world’s longest runway, according to aviation buffs. The U2’s more advanced successors, the A-12 (capable of carrying air-to-air missiles) and the SR-71 Blackbird, were also tested there. They were thought to have been replaced by the Aurora, a methane-powered three-man aircraft, which cruises at speeds of between Mach 5 and Mach 10 (that is between five, and ten times the speed of light).
The US Department of Defense announced in July 1989 the development of a pilotless saucer named Subsonic Hovering Armament Direction and Observation Window (SHADOW). This six-foot disc was built for battlefields and is capable of reaching speeds of 300 miles per hour, of hovering and of level flight. It is powered by a ducted fan engine in the centre and engine thrust ducts in the back.
Another recent development is a disk-shaped gravity-powered craft, of between three and six feet in diameter; that is remote-controlled, according to ‘Matrix II. ‘These craft have been built using alien technology’. Matrix II reported. ‘They have the capability to cloak themselves into invisibility while doing surveillance activity’. It added that the vessels are capable of spying through solid matter like walls and ceilings and transmitting the image back to a visual imagery system. ‘They have the ability to see through walls and take a look at you any time they want’, it concluded rather ominously. RME8IC0S UFO CHEMP @ The US Air Force is obviously reluctant to discuss UFOs or to have UFO-spotters lurking around its top-secret site. In September 1993, it began procedures to seize another 3,900 acres of land around the Groom Lake base< which effectively sealed off two public viewing sites of a base that it routinely refuses to admit exists. SIGHTINGS HT HIM BUSES Claims of military and Government involvement, as bizarre as they may seem, have been backed up by members of the public and brave armed forces : personnel who have reported seeing brilliant objects flying Over or near top-secret military bases in America. 1 Oh June 24,1947, Kenneth Arnold was flying a Callair aircraft in search of a crashed C-46 military transport plane hear Mount Rainier, in Washington State’s Cascade Mountains. Arnold never found the plane but he did spot alien spacecraft. Nine of them! Initially Arnold had seen a flash of light while flying several miles from the spacecraft. He described seeing a formation of craft: that spanned five miles across. The crafts were flying, he estimated, at speeds of between 1,300 and 1,700 miles an hour – much faster than any aircraft around at the time. When asked by reporters how the craft had flown* Arnold replied: “Like a saucer would if you skipped it across water.”

While out with a friend exploring Arizona’s Globe area m 1980, ex-Navy seaman, Wayne Henthorne said his jeep was stopped-by a military patrol. Hamilton relates what Henthorne saw. “Beyond a . cordoned-off location, they could see a large saucer with a glass dome sitting on landing legs. They were told to leave the area and say nothing about what they had seen.”
Henthorne’s account is just one of many that raise questions about the US Government’s knowledge and participation in a UFO cover-up. “There have been many visitors to the northern perimeter of the Nevada Test Site and the town of Rachel near the Groom mountains. Many of these visitors have seen and photographed glowing objects that ascend from behind the looming Groom mountains and perform the same kind of aerial antics and nocturnal ballet that have become so familiar to UFO watchers over the decades.” .
An article in Aviation Week and Space Technology reported multiple sightings of strange advanced aircraft flying over Southern California and the ■ central Nevada desert regions, according to Hamilton. Many were described as triangular and quiet. “I personally talked tp the author of this ■ article* and he believes that some of these craft exhibit aerodynamic behaviour consistent with antigravity propulsion technology/’ he said.
One of the witnesses, a woman from Lancaster; said she had seen three triangular craft and that they
nNEIItll UFO COUEMP (
were lit with red lights around their perimeter and travelled from the vicinity of Edward’s Air Force Base towards the Tehachipi Mountains, the site of another underground facility.
Other Lancaster residents reported seeing strange, glowing orbs froth that area which seemed to levitate and float as if opposing gravity. The objects although highly visible and brilliantly luminescent did not cast light reflections off the surroundings, which Hamilton said would contradict optical physics unless the emission caused all light to be absorbed by the surrounding surfaces.
ENCOUNTERS OF THEM REICH HIND
How did the US Government become involved with aliens and UFOs? One rather fantastic theory is ■ that it began shortly after the Second World War following reports the Nazis were using ‘Foo Fighters’ as a defence against Allied air attacks.
Some Allied air pilots flying over Germany in 1943 reported being tailed by ‘balls of fire’ which emitted electrical fields that interfered with the operation of aviation engines. They Said the luminous spheres suddenly materialised in front of thejr eyes. The balls of light often manoeuvred between fleets of aircraft but seemed benevolent in nature. .
The Allied debriefing officers took the reports very seriously. They believed the Nazis had
) HHERICB S UFO COVEMP
created some new equipment that was capable of radar-jamming. It was thought that a plane’s internal controls could be affected if it was too close to the Foo Fighters. This was later refuted since Allied planes appeared to behave normally around the Foo Fighters.
By the autumn of 1944, as many as ten lights were darting between aircraft. They were multicoloured and sometimes blinking. Funnily enough, after the war, some reports said it was revealed that German pilots had also seen the Foo Fighters and assumed they were Created by Allied Forces.
By the end of the war, German scientists were believed to be developing several types of aircraft and missiles with capabilities almost on par with those sighted UFOs. The designs for those aircraft and the German scientists responsible for them are’ believed to have left’ in German U-boats heading for a Nazi base in Antarctica. ‘
In October 1945, the U-boats with the scientists on board resurfaced in Argentina. They were captured and the scientists were flown to America and interrogated.
Other reports say that the German scientists were flown, as part of the US operation ‘Paperclip’, to Nevada to work on VI and V2 rockets. This is also the time that President Dwight Eisenhower is said to have met with aliens and agreed to a sinister’ exchange: technology and information about time travel in return for access to human guinea pigs.

TIME BANDITS
Time travel and the ability to manipulate, the events of the past, the present and ultimately the future -were discovered over 50 years ago, according to witnesses of the bizarre and ultra-secret experiments carried out by a mysterious, quasi-militarygovernment organisation in the US. So why don’t we know more about it? Why haven’t we been told that it is now feasible to move about in time rather than something still confined to the realms of celluloid fantasy?
The Americans stumbled on the idea of time travel through their experiments into invisibility which were carried out in the early 1930s by such brilliant scientists and mathematicians as Albert Einstein, Wilhelm Reich, John von Neumann and Nikola Tesla. They discovered that by creating an . electromagnetic bottle or shield around an object like a ship through the use of coils, it diverted radar waves around the object and not only became invisible but physically vanished. After an initial test on an empty naval ship, it was decided to carry out a full test on a ship with a crew.
The Government financed the experiments known as the ‘Rainbow Project’ and placed great pressure on the scientists since it needed the technology in the war. The project lacked the expertise and technology that would enable it to take the project further, according to one of the ‘Montauk Project’

leaders, Al Bialek. He claims the technology came from aliens after a meeting with the US President Dwight Eisenhower at Edward’s Airforce Base in the early 1940s. ■
“They came en masse. We were confronted by a technology that we couldn’t counter, we couldn’t handle it, we didn’t know what to do about it. So the agreement with Eisenhower and his advisors was to sign a treaty with them, a non-interference treaty and get what technology we could from them…”
The Americans were given the technical expertise to time travel and in return, the aliens were given access to our planet. Which raises the questions: ‘ would an alien race give humans such information and power? Was it simply a gesture of galactic, generosity – a symbol of future interplanetary trade ■ and exchange – or something more sinister? ■
Perhaps it was so that, as some witnesses and investigators have, claimed, that aliens would have a more pliable population to deal with if they chose to ■ invade our planet or that by encouraging humans to rip holes in the fabric of time, it would be easier for those higher density beings to enter our atmosphere and therefore manipulate Earth.
ME OUT
Using the new technology, small tests were carried out as the scientists attempted to regulate the ill-effects of the experiment on humans – the crew

suffered nausea, disorientation and even psychological damage.
The final test, now known as the ‘Philadelphia Experiment’, was conducted on August 12,1943 on the USS Ekidge. Although the scientists wanted to achieve radar not physical invisibility, after the first six minutes the ship disappeared. It had been removed from the space-time continuum and reappeared hundreds of miles away in Norfolk, -Virginia, The Ekidge then returned to Hudson Bay.
SHIP III fl TIME BOULE
Although successful from the invisibility angle, the horrific side-effectsofthe experiment on humans was evident: some of the crew were melted into the ship’s bulkheads,- others became human fireballs and the rest were left in states of deep trauma. Two of the crew, protected in the engineers’ room from the electromagnetic effect of the experiment, had leapt over the side of the ship and been sucked into hyperspace. Later scientists realised they had created a hole in space-time with the electromagnetic bottle.
The project was placed on the backburner until the late 1940s when it became known as the ‘Phoenix Project’. Then mathematician, von Neumann was asked to discover why moving humans around electromagnetic fields had such a horrific impact.
Ten years later, after much research into the metaphysical energy of humans, von Neumann
RMERICrS UFO mEfl-BF
realised that humans have two energy fields; the physical and the metaphysical. The original experiments had only dealt with physical energy of individuals and seriously ignored the second kind. Humans are born with an individual time reference point or an anchor to the electromagnetic field of the planet. From that reference point, an individual’s life progresses. The crew of the USS Philadelphia had suffered because their individual reference points had been thrown into disarray when the ship entered that artificial reality.
To alleviate those softs of effects in the future, von Neumann needed to create an electromagnetic bottle field to lock in. the physical body and at the same time provide an artificial reality for each individual which would give a time reference. Thus both the physical and spiritual energy fields of individuals were catered for , ■
After this breakthrough, the US Congress was approached for approval to continue with the experiments. But perhaps sensing the danger and potential of the experiments being used for mind Control, the US Congress refused in 1967 and the project was disbanded.
PLRV TIME AT MONTAUH
However, the research group which had its own mysterious funding, allegedly from a giant Nazi gold stash, approached the US military for a secret
BHEflllfl’S UFO COVER-UP @
site to continue its work. Not surprisingly, the military could not resist the temptation of access to such goodies as mass mind control power, invisibility and time travel. The researchers needed a site with a giant Sage radar that was capable of transmitting frequencies of between 425 and 450 Megahertz, the level at which it is possible to alter human thought. The Air Force gave them the Montauk base which still had a Sage radar in place.
Bielek said the highest levels of security were established at the base, partly since the research ostensibly involved the development of the stealth aircraft, with radar resistant absorbine coating and a reduced surface cross-section.
“What is secret are certain aspects of the ‘electromagnetic bottle technology’ and how- that was propagated,” he said. This aspect of the. Montauk Project “should never have been activated in the first place. With no military or defence purposes to begin with, it was only designed for. controlling the minds of the population and in spite of Congress forbidding this project,” he added.
Some of the military technicians at the base had used the Sage Radar in the 1960s and mentioned to the researchers how it had been possible to change the mood of the personnel on the base by changing the frequency and pulse duration of the. radar, Nichols said.
WlCn UFO CHEMP
“This was a surprise to the Phoenix (Project) people and they found it very interesting. This was what they were looking for,” he alleged.
Mood-altering experiments were begun in earnest. At first, the focus of the experiments was a person sitting inside a shielded room. The radar reflector was angled down so that it focused on the building which housed the chain
Determined to discover how they could train and transmit brain waves and therefore control thoughts, the researchers played around with different high-powered frequencies and pulses.
Nichols said: “They just wanted to see what would happen to the person in the chair if he was bombarded by ‘X’ frequency, pulse etcetera. They observed that certain changes made a person sleep, cry, laugh, be agitated and so on.”
The experiments were then expanded to include the base personnel and then on the townspeople in Montauk, Long Island, New Jersey, upstate New York, and then Connecticut ‘just to see how far it could go. After about -four years, the researchers had enough information on the data base to change the moods of people, decrease the crime rate, or make people agitated. Nichols explained: “The researchers were able to derive programmes whereby they could focus on a car and stop all the electronic functions in it.” INHICH UFO CSIEI-lf @ THE NONTRUN CHRIR A special chair was designed using technology that could display what a person was thinking, Nichols alleged. It would collect the electromagnetic impulses from a person then translate them into an understandable form. Coils, which acted as sensors, were placed around the chair, along with three receivers, six channels and a computer which would display the person’s thoughts digitally or on a screen. Nichols said: “It is still a mystery how this technology was developed. It has been suggested that the research was aided by the Sirians, an alien race who come from the star system known as Sirius.” The basis for the technology, he added, was . imparted to the researchers and they developed it. MIND OVER MATTER The plan was to transmit the thoughts of the seated person to the people who would be involved in time travel to create an alternative reality for them as they underwent the experiments. Using mainly the thoughts of a psychic, Duncan Cameron, the researchers were eventually able to not only transmit thoughts but to create three-dimensional realities. In his mind, Cameron would concentrate on a solid object and it would appear somewhere on the base, Nichols recalled. The transmitter would be able to transmit the lattice or matrix for whatever he AMERICA S UFO COVER-UP i isualised and then build enough power to \ materialise whatever he thought of. “They actually had discovered pure creation out of thought with the uses of the transmitter.” The object would sometimes be ethereal, at other times solid, and its length of existence would, vary. At times, it would only last as long as the transmitter was turned on. “It was truly incredible that Such a feat could be accomplished, however the agenda employed was more sinister than incredible. They were interested in controlling how human beings think. The next move was to see if they could put thoughts in the head of another person.” Nichols said. By 1978, after numerous experiments, the researchers were using the psychic to control the behaviour of the civilian population. Cameron was kept in a subconscious pre-orgiastic state during the experiments, leaving the scientists to take ’ advantage of his unquestioning and suggestible subconscious mind. Without going into the complex adjustments ‘ involved, the researchers eventually found a way to stabilise Cameron’s thought projections to ‘ avoid time glitches or time warps. In those instances, his thoughts would not appear immediately but some hoiirs later – a hazard given the aim of the experiments was supposed to be solid and stable enough to send others into space and then return them. MOtrS UFO COVEI-IP @ By 1980; the project generated time tunnels or portals which allowed people to travel in time and space. According to Nichols, “ You could walk through the portals from 1980 to 1990. There was an opening that you could look into. It looked like a circular corridor with a light at the other end. The time door would remain as long as Duncan (Cameron) would concentrate on 1980 and 1990.” Although shaky at first, the portals became more stable. The scientists used main vortexes or arterial routes to explore space. By chance, they had found the Earth had natural 20 year bio-rhythm cycles, and the August 12, 1943 Philadelphia Experiment had created a major vprtex along with 1943, 1963, and 1983. Sub-vortices or even open-ended vortices could be created by using the main vortices as anchor points. ■ ‘ ‘ For example, Nichols said that if the scientists wanted to reach November 1981, they would have a bridge point from November of 1981 through to August 12 1983. From there they could go to whatever time they wanted. Soon, they could send that person or art object through the tunnel to another location anywhere on Earth, the Galaxy and then even further afield. The time traveller could visit any place 100,000 years in the past or almost one million years into the future without side effects such as ageing, disorientation or psychological trauma. They also discovered how to make time tunnels BMEHICRS UFO WEMP IIFIItl’S IFO tllfW that could be used solely to view – so that they were . less dependent on humans. . – Nichols believed by then a computer could also generate the time tunnels for short periods of time. Cameron, the psychic, could also then be sent with others on time excursions to Mars to explore the pyramids and underground tunnels there. The excursions continued and the transmitter was run full-time until August 1983 when it synchronised with the August 1943 USS Elridge, causing a time-lock. “The project had now reached apocalyptic proportions. Natural laws were being violated and it seemed everyone involved felt uncomfortable.” Nichols and three of his colleagues felt misgivings about playing with time and the impact it would have on the planet. – Because of this, they designed a way to crash the programme using Cameron. While in his trance state, they suggested to him the programme would end when he heard the phrase, ‘The time is now. Bizarre events took place – Cameron unleashed a 12 foot monster from his subconscious that gobbled people and buildings. While this was creating havoc around the base, Nichols and his colleagues smashed the transmitter. ‘ . .
But the generator from the 1943 USS Elridge and the 1983 Montauk generator locked in together, bouncing off enough energy to create a strong time -vortex. The only way to avoid a strange rime warp was for one of the 1983 personnel to return to 1943
©
and smash the equipment onboard the naval vessel. This, according to. Bielek, allowed the USS Elfidge to return to 1943 so that the time loop would end. Afterwards, the base was dismantled and people like Nichols and Bielek brainwashed and dismissed.
So what is happening nowadays at Montauk?
Bielek suspects Montauk reopened in 1992 and that researchers wanted to extend those major time vortices from 1943 to 2003. “They just don’t realise what risks they are running in reopening that thing” he said. “All we can do is hope for the best for the future and that the mistakes of the past will be understood and that somehow the future will come out the better for in it in spite of the problems we know we face.”
Witness to some of the experiments, author Preston Nichols, recalled the time travel took place from February 1981 through to August 1983. “Those who travelled the vortex (time tunnel) described it as a peculiar spiral tunnel that was lit all the way down. Asone started to walk down, he would, suddenly be pulled through it. It propelled one out the other end, usually in another place … it could be anywhere in the universe.”
The news should be incredibly exciting. After all, it represents an opportunity to see what will happen in the future if we continue on our present path. It would also mean we could change our behaviour if necessary to avoid that particular outcome. Forewarned is forearmed. But those who
® RNEIICRS BFO COVER-UP
have seen how this knowledge and technology has been used and abused said it bears testimony to the phrase: ‘Power corrupts and absolute power -corrupts absolutely’.
Nichols said, “Those controlling the project began to play all sorts of games, manipulating the past and future … There has been manipulation of time. This has also exploited individuals and caused untold misery. It could easily be considered the work of dark forces.”
Disturbing reports show that the original site of the time travel-mind power experiments, the former Air Force base at Montauk Point in New York’s Long Island, is believed to have become operational again in 1992 after being closed for ten years. The witnesses report the past and therefore the future of Earth is being manipulated by a small highly-secretive group that now operates outside the realm of any’government control.
Among the reports is a testimony from a former Air Force warrant officer (who has since committed suicide) who said, in the 1970s during time-shifting magnetic field experiments, a nuclear device was detonated. The aim was to see if any nuclear energy escaped from the shifted fields according to Matrix II, a compilation of the most current UFO-ology reports. Fortunately, none did.
Nichols reports of street children and vagrants . being used as guinea pigs in the experiments. Not all of them returned from their forced exploration

of other times and space zones.
The same experiments, conducted initially at Montauk Point, on and off since 1943 have apparently led to further discoveries – that it is possible to programme arid therefore control the mind and physical realities, of riot just one or two people, but entire populations through the use of electro-magnetic radio waves and computers. Some think that the mind controlling techniques were used on Iraqi troops during the Gulf Wan Could it be that radio not religion is now the opiate of the masses?
Obviously, the answers are not forthcoming front any government. The easiest way for any government to refute these and other UFO claims and throw investigators off the scent is to question the-credibility and even sanity of those making them. Or to cloak the experiments in the highest possible security so that only-a handful of people will ever know of its existence.
One witness, Al Bielek, said the American Government had done all it could to protect its secret, including giving the projects Black Card clearance. “This means in essence, that it is such a deep Black Hole project that- all the records^ everything connected with it, is buried in a black vault and nobody has access to this without having the proper clearance and need to know. This includes purchasing departments who buy the hardware for these projects. The records for the sales, purchase, everything- buried in the black vault.

So nobody can find it. This is why they call it a Black Hole project. There are many, many of these. This is one of them.” .
Bielek and Nichols believe they worked on the time travel and mind-control experiments at Montauk but were brainwashed and dismissed when the project was disbanded in 1983. While pursuing his own interest in electromagnetic phenomenon some years later, Nichols visited the then abandoned. . site and began to experience memory recovery of his time there. His memories are contained in the nonfiction book. The Montauk Project.
Certainly these claims, and these are among the less bizarre, are so staggering and overwhelming that it would be easier to accept that the witnesses are at the least highly-imaginative, at the worst, paranoid and suffering from delusions. But they aren’t asking you to suspend your judgement, just to .keep an open mind while you read.
The present arid the future Cari be changed through time travel, said Nichols, and compared time to a . chessboard in which any number of moves could be taken. Each move would create a different layout on the chessboard. “If one were to go back in time and change a move that had been made, it would • consequently change all the other board layouts subsequent to that change. Time could be considered a hypnotic pulse that we all subconsciously agree or submit to. When someone is able to manipulate a change in time, they are also manipulating our

subconscious consideration and experiences;
Therefore, if time is changed, one wouldn’t * necessarily realise it.”
Once a particular scenario has been chosen and activated by someone or something travelling to it, that future becomes fixed. That point is then locked to the time from whence the connection ■ • was made. It creates a loop that is fixed.
Although the idea of a group of shadowy figures playing God with our future is depressing, there is a glimmer of hope. The power of the subconscious ■ human mind, as the group demohstrates,.is aweinspiring and can be used to direct an alternative ‘ future from that which this group may hav.e had in mind. :

THE ROSWELL INCIDENT
As far as the public was aware though, the first real contact between humans and aliens happened on July 2,1947. ■
It was truly a dark and stormy night when something crashed in the desert in Corona, New Mexico, scattering debris in a wide radius. Ranch, foreman, Mac Brazel, heard the loud noise but didn’t bother getting out of bed, thinking it was just another summer thunderstorm. But the
’ following morning, he rode out on horseback with @ ‘ MEHICn UFO CHEHF
seven-year-old Timothy Proctor to investigate.
They found an entire field covered with metallic debris. Brazel was puzzled and decided to load some of it into his pickup truck and drive to Roswell, a town about 75 miles away, to show the local police force.
Sheriff George Wilcox examined it and called the military at the Roswell Army Air Field. Two officers from the base arrived and decided to follow Brazel to look at the debris themselves. One of them was Major jesse Marcel.
. Hamilton said, “What Jesse saw left him with the impression that it was unlike any aircraft he had ever seen.” ‘
At noon on July 8, 1947, Lt. Wallace Haut, the Public Information Officer at the base, issued a press release which said the rumours of UFOs became a reality on July 7 when the intelligence office, of the 509th Bomb Group of the Eight Air Force, Roswell Army Air Field, was fortunate enough to gain possession of a disk through the cooperation of one of the local ranchers and the Sheriffs office of Chaves County.
The press release was picked up and used around the world. Calls flooded into the local radio station and the Sheriffs office.
At 4pm the same day in Fort Worth, Texas, the Commander of the Eighth Air Force, Brig. Gen. Roger Ramey held a press conference and answered reporters’ questions. He showed the tinfoil like

debris to the assembled media. With him was Major Jesse Marcel from Roswell who became a sort of scapegoat for the military. –
Ramey explained the ‘crashed UFO’ was really nothing more than a weather balloon with an attached radar reflector. It was all a big mistake and the matter should, rest there.
The episode was rapidly hushed up. It was the first US Government cover-up and it was only recently that the details of what Marcel really saw emerged.
In 1978, Stanton Friedman, a nuclear physicist and co-author of Crash at Corona interviewed Marcel. . ■
“He still didn’t what the material was”, reported Friedman after the interview, “except that it was like nothing he had ever seen before and certainly wasn’t from any weather balloon”. Marcel told Friedman the material could not be dented by a sledgehammer nor burnt by a blowtorch.
THEM DOCUMENT
If the document known as MJ-12 is to be believed, the US Government was obviously worried about the implications of the crashed UFO and consequent public hysteria. In 1984, a document which has come to be known as MJ-12, turned up in the letterbox of UFO investigator, Jaime Shedera on microfilm. UFO researchers argue about
HMEHICB’S UFO COVER-UP
whether die November 1952 documents are authentic and whether Eisenhower was already aware of the alien situation.
The report was from Admiral Roscoe H. Hillenkoerter, the then Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and it told the President of the formation of a highly secretive UFO study group, the Majestic 12 or MJ-12. It said the
. Government had recovered a crashed UFO and its four dead crew in the New Mexico desert in 1947 and had managed to keep the event secret from both the American public and media.
‘Project Sign’ was formed in December 1947,, according to Matrix II’, to learn more about the different alien craft since several other discs had ■ been downed in the New Mexico region. The Groom Mountain area was chosen as the ideal spot to test the capabilities and performance of the UFOs. PROJECT BLUE BOOH In the same year, the American Government set up ‘Project Blue Book’, an Air Force programme for the investigation of UFOs. During the next few years, the frequency of the , tests was increased and so was the contact with . aliens. By 1954, the Government’s involvement with aliens had reached such a degree that at a meeting in New Mexico it was agreed the aliens IHEIICH IFO COUR-IIP @ would not interfere in Earth’s affairs and vice versa. They were however given permission to establish underground bases on Earth in exchange for information on their technology, ‘Matrix IF reported, ’ At the same time, the Government’s study of mind control through electromagnetic waves, hypnosis and drugs was becoming more sophisticated. In 1956, mind control experiments on prison inmates was approved. This led to experiments using hypnosis on Government workers in high security areas. In 1957, a facility named ‘Dreamland’ was , constructed near the alien underground base, S-4. Within three years, the first of 75 underground facilities was built by the Government. Alien activity increased and so did public sightings of craft. Dr Fred Bell, author of The Promise said that while he was attached to the 776th Radar Squadron in California’s Point Arena AFS, UFOs appearing on radar screens were a common occurrence. “Practically every night, large numbers of UFOs come in from space about 200 miles out”, he recalled. “They descend at 20,000 miles an hour! They are from 40 to 5,000 feet large and they head south to Mexico at 5,000 miles per hour.” On December 17, 1969, the Secretary of the Air Force announced the termination of Project Blue Book, From 1947 through to 1969, over 12,500 AMERICUS BFO tOVEMP sightings had been reported by rhe public. Of the total 12,618, exactly 701 were ‘unidentified. The decision to discontinue the UFO investigations, -according to the Public Affairs Division of the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (which’fan Project Blue Book), was based oh ah evaluation of a report prepared by the University of Colorado, The Scientific Study of Unidentified Flying Objects; a review of that report by the National Academy of-Sciences, past UFO studies and Air Force experienced investigating UFO reports during the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s; –
Its conclusions were: “No UFO reported, investigated and evaluated by the Air Force has ever given any indication of threat to our national security. There has been no evidence submitted to, or discovered by the Air Force that sightings categorised as ‘unidentified’, represent technological developments or principals beyond the range of present-day scientific knowledge. There has been no evidence indicating that sightings categorised as ‘unidentified’, are extraterrestrial Vehicles.”
All of the documents from Blue Book, the Public Affairs Division said, had been permanently ■ transferred to the Modern Military Branch National Archives and Records Service.
“Since Project Blue Book was closed, nothing has happened to indicate that the Air Force ought to resume investigating UFOs.”
Similarly, due to funding cuts and the large
mucrs ufo cover-up . (
expense of investigating such claims,’ it was unlikely the Air Force would ever again ■ investigate such claims, it said. .
Interestingly, it added “Periodically, it is erroneously-stated that the remains of extraterrestrial visitors are or have been stored at Wright-Patterson AFB. There are not now, nor ever had been any extraterrestrial visitors or equipment on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base” Some UFO-ologists have managed to obtain copies of government documents relating to the subject. One of those was released by the North American Aerospace Defense Command which revealed that several sensitive military bases had been put on alert status following a series of sightings in October and November of 1975
Another document, from the Air Force Office Of Special Intelligence, reported a landed light seen near Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, New Mexico oh August 8, 1980.
Alien technology was being used to develop highly sophisticated aircraft. The mid-1960s saw the development of the SR-71 Blackbird. Within a few years, disks with spheres were sighted being flown by the US armed forces around California’s China Lake area, ‘Matrix II’ reported. ’
The developments have continued but unfortunately so has the alien involvement with Earth’s inhabitants – the number of
RNERICR’S UFO COVEH-UF
alleged abductions by aliens and cattle mutilations have escalated. ■
Many UFO researchers believe that not so long ■ . after the US Government made the agreement with the aliens* it began to realise it had made a terrible mistake. Human abductions by aliens was taking place far more than it had ever envisaged.
“There was apparently little they (the Government) could do but try and keep the information classified to prevent panic,” ‘Matrix II’ reported. Since then, there has been a concerted effort to gently introduce the idea of alien interaction to the public through the manipulation of the media and through film.
As with most stories about UFOs* the full truth is never likely to be known especially since the idea that the American Government might have sold out -given aliens access to human beings in return for technological information – is such a horrific idea that even if it was true the majority of people would find it too unpalatable a concept to swallow.
ALIEN ABDUCTIONS
The idea of humans being abducted is not a new thing. Our myths and legends are crammed with tales of fairies and Other World creatures snatching adults and children. What is new about the idea of alien abductions, of adults and children being taken from their beds, is that thousands if not millions of people claim it has happened to them! Their stories
BHEIIICfl’S UFO COVEH-UP ®
follow a similar pattern and often point to an alien race that is desperate to communicate with us, perhaps to stop the destruction of our Planet, and even to connect dr reconnect with us.
Although it is easy to ridicule these stories, the sheer magnitude of the reports is not easy to * dismiss. If the reports are to be believed, it could even be happening to someone, somewhere in the world as you read this. But unfortunately, the point of alien abduction – why is it happening – can get lost in the web of arguments that tend to focus instead on the messengers rather than the message.
Alien abductees have several prominent ■ advocates, including a person of authority who won’t be ignored, Professor John. E. Mack. He’s the head of the Harvard Medical School’s Psychiatry Department. Mack is prepared to defend their experiences as real and to help those who make claims. His book, Abduction – Human Encounters With Aliens details 13 of the 80 cases he had dealt with over the past four or five years.
“The fact that a phenomenon defies conventional explanation or even challenges our notions of reality should nor permit us to ignore its existence or prevent us from exploring its dimensions and significance ”, Mack said; The extent of the phenomena had huge ramifications for the human race on socio-economic, scientific and philosophical levels,
“These experiences”, he said, “are shattering
RMERICR’S UFO WEHF
our World View”. As rational beings, we tend to be caught up in the Western dualism, or the us-versus-them scenario.. Alien abductions are difficult to accept in our rational ‘I’ll believe it when I see it’ world.
The idea of another intelligent life force in the universe that appeared to have control over our lives is an affront to our vision of the human race and its superiority and dominance over all that we survey. It presents a challenge, that if we are honest, we really don’t want to accept or face.
“The proposition attacks the arrogance of our ideas and makes a mockery of our technology,” . Mack said. “We may be led to realise that we are not physically at the centre of the Universe…we are not even the pre-eminent or dominant intelligence in the cosmos in control of our psychological and physical existence.” ■
In the past, it has been easier to deride the messengers or the abductees. People like Travis Walton, for instance, a forest worker from Arizona, who was abducted by aliens in front of his coworkers one evening in 1975. Walton, whose book of his experiences was made into a film fire In The Sky, disappeared for five days and six hours;
He has very little recall of what happened during that time but does.remember vaguely regaining consciousness aboard a.spacecraft. “As soon as I regained consciousness, I flipped Out and became hysterical and pushed them (hairy aliens with
MERICR’S UFO WEB-UP
human-like features) away from me and lashed out at them.”
Walton told of his encounter while on the hugely-popular American late-night news programme, Larry King Live. He explained how the encounter had begun with the sighting of an UFO “hovering near the road”.
“It was very clear and unmistakable. The minute it came into view, somebody yelled ‘It’s a spaceship’ or something like that. We stopped the truck and I got Out and went towards it.”
The others who were still in the truck, called out to Walton to get back inside but he ignored them.
“Anyway, as I got closer to it, it started to move and the sound started to get louder. That scared me. Tjumped down behind some cover. The men in the truck were screaming at me to get away from there. I raised up to go, and 1 was hit, like a physical blow, and I blacked out. The men in the truck said they saw a powerful bolt of energy come out of the craft and hit me. They said it looked like a grenade went off in front of me. It threw me in the air about ten feet.” .
Walton’s workmates saw him hit the ground and thought the energy bolt had killed him. In a blind panic, they drove off and left him lying on the ground. One of the men, Mike Rogers, told Larry King why they had left their colleague behind. “I didn’t have time to think, I was driving the truck and after I had gone down the road about aquarter
© . mnitn ufs cokh-up
of a mile, then I was thinking. I had time to thinks, about what I had done.”
A ‘hysterical’ discussion ensued between the men in the truck and they turned the truck around and went back to collect the body of Walton. “He wasn’t-there”, Roger recalled, adding that neither was the UFO.
Also on. the Larry King Live show was arch-UFO sceptic, Phil Klass. He is publisher and editor of the UFO Sceptic and has spent at least 40 years : debunking stories of UFO sightings, as well.as alien encounters and abductions.
Oh the programme; Klass accused all seven forest workers of lying. • , . .
“Now you heard Travis and Mike Rogers claim . that this beam from the UFO was like a grenade -exploding. Travis was knocked ten feet back. In his book, he claims he hit his shoulder against a rock,” Klass announced. He went on to describe how no physical evidence was found by either of the two . medical doctors in Phoenix who examined Travis.
“They found ho bruise marks…they found.no burn marks…they found no physical damage; the drily thing they found was something like a needle mark in his elbow. So there was nd physical evidence. I -know the nature’of somebody blasted through the air ten.feet and hitting their shoulder against a rock. There should be bruise marks.” .
Klass went on to describe how the Sheriffs had . found no evidence amongst the pine needles of
HMERIC8 SIH mEHF
intense heat or even burning; “If this incident had happened, the pine needles would have been blasted away and caught fire…they would have burned.” Klass continued to lambaste Walton and Rogers, accusing the men and Walton’s family of being party to a giant, money-grabbing hoax.
Klass, who is also Senior Editor at Aviation Week and Space Technology, said he was annoyed at the lack of what he calls evidence, that is scientifically credible and that will prove the existence of extraterrestrials, UFOs, and the like. “After spending •more than a quarter of a century investigating UFO reports, I have yet to find a single,, such case.” :
Abductees, according to Klass, are no better.
“They live humdrum lives. Nobody would ask them to appear on a talk show on the basis of their normal lives. But all they have to do is read a book or two about abductions, concoct a somewhat similar story and they’re a local Celebrity; And who knows, maybe they can write a book and become a millionaire.”
Klass said he had started to sleep next to a video camera. “I figure if I am abducted and if I can get video on board a flying saucer I could really do very well.” – –
Mack fiercely defends the abductees against such attacks. “The people who attack them and accuse them of fabricating their experiences are nasty and ill-informed,” he said. “What they are doing in their desperation is attacking people who are vulnerable.
® MERICn UFO COHi-UF
It’s a cruel tactic. They think if they can invalidate the experiences themselves, then they won’t want to come forward. The majority of abductees do not appear to be deluded, confabulating, lying, selfdramatising, Or suffering from a clear mental illness,” he said. “More often than not, they do not want to* believe they have been abducted since it shatters their world view of how things really are.” Significantly, most abductees believe they have been through a trauma. Those traumatic episodes tend to be four-dimensional.
The first is the experience itself, of being paralysed and taken against one’s will by strange beings into a foreign enclosure and then subjected to intrusive, rape-like procedures. Many times, men would report of being subjected to humiliating anal and penile probes or insertions. .
The second dimension is that of isolation or human alienation. ‘
“Whether or not they recall consciously many elements of their experiences, abductees feel that they are somehow different from everyone else: that they do not belong in this society, even if superficially at least they seem to get along well”
The third trauma is that of realising what they have experienced was not a dream but real. Abductees tend to persist in the hope that a psychological explanation for their experiences will be found, even when they tell me that what has happened to them is as real as the conversation we
AHEaiCR’S UFO COUMP ®
are having between us.
The fourth aspect is probably the worst. Mack said – that- of the trauma recurring at any .time. Abductions, unlike rape or childhood abuse or even war-related traumas, are unpredictable and their recurrence follows no foreseeable pattern.- ■
Abductions are highly-traumatic experiences which are often deeply repressed and usually brought to the conscious mind after a great deal of pain. “Although abductees may have a vague recollection of an event, it is explored fully through a process of hypnosis, and breathing techniques,” Mack said.
“One of the most powerfully consistent aspects of this for me has been the tremulousness with which these people come to see me. They come to me very fearful that either they will be found crazy because’ what they’ve experienced doesn’t fit ordinary reality or that they’ll be found not to be crazy, and then they’re faced with the fact that these are real experiences and what does that mean for their World View, for their futures, for their lives?”
“There is no one type of person who will have experienced an alien abduction,” Mack said. His own patients have included students, housewives, computer industry professionals, secretaries, writers, psychologists, a night-club receptionist, a prison guard, an acupuncturist, a social worker, and a petrol station attendant.
Similarly, there was no apparent clue in their past to suggest why they were chosen. The experiences of _@ omnitrs ufo csvemp
the abductees are so similar that Mack was convinced the stories could not have been fabricated.
Renowned astrologer and friend of Mack’s, Carl’ Sagan said he was concerned at his friend’s involvement in the abduction saga. He visited his friend in 1991 and tried to argue that with an issue of this importance, that “extraordinary claims demand extraordinary evidence”.
“And John (Mack) would have none of that. He was quite content with anecdotal cases and his judgement that these people must be telling the truth because they are so extremely distraught.” Sagan argued further that hallucinations are common and may happen to normal people in ordinary circumstances. He also pointed out the little-known ailment of sleep paralysis, which apparently affects a large proportion of people. It could be blamed for the experiences and would explain the similarities between stories from abductees.
A person suffering from sleep paralysis may feel paralysed and even sense strange presences -demons or aliens – and hear unusual noises. “Is it possible that people in all times and places occasionally experienced vivid1 realistic -hallucinations often with sexual content, with the ■ details filled in by the prevailing cultural idioms sucked out of the Zeitgeist?” Sagan queried.
But Mack was defiant, believing in the evidence -he had seen and heard from his abductee patients. “The thing is, I have spent most of my professional life is
INEiltn UFO tOVEO-UP (
in learning to make’clinical psychological discriminations like ‘Is this projection?’, ‘Is this . hallucination?’, ‘Is this real experience?’, ‘Is this a dream?’ And this behaves like real experience.”
So far, none of the non-believers have found a viable reason that adequately explains the strange physical effects that have been associated with the experiences Mack’s clients have had. They include terminated pregnancies, sexual liaisons with aliens, incisions, scars, bloody noses, and even tiny implants in the nasal passages and in the brain. .
There is also no explanation for the abduction reports from children as young as two or three years of age.’These “intense and seemingly authentic, detailed” accounts are difficult to explain away when they come from children whose exposure to the media, television, books, other abductees, and any range of other influences are so limited.
The arguments over the credibility of abductees, the need for physical proof and the way in which evidence is discovered, all obscure the real point, according to Mack. “All I want is for people to be convinced that there’s something going on here that is not explainable. That something is entering these people’s lives that we don’t understand.
“If we can be in that place of not knowing, we’re likely to learn more than if we try to stick this here, or stick it there, or. if we close our minds and try to keep this under control.”
The abductees, most of whom are not familiar
iHEmcrs uro tim^i
with physics in their ordinary lives, talk of aliens coming from different dimensions, of the collapse between space and time, and of simultaneous time dimensions. By Harping on continuously about a lack of physical proof, sceptics overlook the fact that we could be dealing with an alien race which possesses a far superior intelligence, that might not want to reveal itself, just yet!
Mack fervently believes that humanity is “on the verge of a real advance’in science, of knowledge of ourselves and the Universe, arid the culture senses this…We just need a few small pushes to get us out of this constricted Newtonian-Cartesian structure . that says the world is mechanism and material – and into a world that re-opens to us the cosmos, to the sacred, the divine, with a reverence for nature.”
The abductees experienced what could be multiple realities that humans are now cut off from due to our imposed ideas about what is real and possible. ‘ They often report dire warnings from aliens, . predicting an apocalypse for the world unless genuine moves are made towards total peace and an environmentally friendly approach to the planet. Just how or why the alien-hybrid programme fits in with our world is not understood. –
. Will aliens and hybrids inhabit Earth one day, living alongside humans? Or will they, as some like to gloomily predict, take over our planet?
The idea of UFOs being harbingers of world peace dates back to the post-war era. Carl Jung$ who
HE1ICFS UFA mEH? @
established a field of psychoanalysis based on symbolism, saw the UFOs as a unifying symbol for a world that was gripped by the fears of Cold War. ■
“A psychic phenomenon of this kind…would… have a compensatory significance”, Jung wrote in a 1958 letter, “since it would be a Spontaneous answer of the unconscious to the present situation, i;e, to fears created by an apparently insoluble political situation which might at any moment lead to universal catastrophe.” ■
The train of thought has been echoed by Whitley Strieber, author of two bookson the abductions he experienced, Communion and Transformation. Both books became best-sellers in the late 1980s but since then Strieber has become disenchanted with the idea of aliens being spiritual guardians. He also fell out with the leaders of the UFO community, and wrote in the last edition of his abductee: newsletter that many UFO-ologists were “probably the cruellest, nastiest and craziest people I have ever encountered”.
Strieber indicated the phenomenon might be mote to do with the human soul and its current detachment from nature than with science fiction. “There is a very simple reason that we have made so little progress understanding UFOs arid the visitors. We are a world in the process of going blind. We are blind to the existence of the soul and thus to the ancient and immensely conscious world from which it emerges. ”
AMESItK UFO COVER-UP
Like Jung, Strieber pointed to the emergence of UFO sightings as happening at a time when there was a great universal fear .of nuclear warfare. “The aliens”, he said, “might just be part of ourselves that we had lost touch with, at once separate from us, yet part of us.”
Kenneth Ring, a Professor, of Psychology at the University of Connecticut and the author of The Omega Project, UFOs, Near Death Experiences and Mind Control, described the alien encounters as humanity’s “cry of pain”. .
. “The alien experience may be the collective experience of seeing your own future image in the. mirror, like the aliens, we are becoming grey and sickly as a species. The message is that we are not supposed to be living as we are.”
In Mack’s book, many of the abductees progress through their terror of the aliens by looking into the alien’s eyes to experience the feeling Of spiritual connection with the alien and ultimately, with themselves.
Ring agrees that many abductees often reported profound spiritual changes in their lives after looking into the eyes of aliens.
The abductees, Ring reported, experienced a. “growth in compassion for others, greater selfunderstanding. They also reported a number of unusual physical or physiological changes, changes in metabolism, changes in neurological functioning, changes in psychic sensitivity, all of which seemed
RHEUM’S UFO COVEH-UP
to form into a pattern that suggested they were . functioning at a high level of consciousness and’ with a greater degree of spiritual awareness than had been the case before.”
But David Jacobs, a History Professor at Temple University, vehemently opposes the idea of aliens as forms of higher consciousness. Jacobs, author of Secret Life: Firsthand Accounts Of UFO Abductions, rhypnotised over 75 abductees. He wrote: “They (the aliens) are not benign in any way; shape or form. We don’t see benevolence, we don’t see malevolence. What we see is a dispassionate, : . clinical programme fulfilling an agenda of their own that has very little to do with us except to use our bodies for their own purposes.” The apocalyptic visions that abductees report having been shown by aliens was just another form of alien ■
experimentation on their human victims, he argued.
The abductees who speak of the spiritual purposes of the aliens are mostly Mack’s clients, he said. Mack agreed that perhaps he was responsible and not the aliens of placing an emphasis on the spirituality of the abduction experience.
Mack said, “There is a kind of relationship between ’ a therapist and patient where you’re co-creating. But I’ve never pointed them in any one direction.”
Abductions, according to Mack, are a sort of spiritual correction that pushes us all into the next stage of spiritual development.
If people who were once suffering from feelings of

separateness or who could not function properly, have therapy and succeed in transforming’ their lives for the better, is it really relevant or even ■ important to continually ask for physical proof of-their claims? How can you tell if you have been abducted by aliens? Since aliens don’t tend to leave any receipts when they have allegedly ‘used* your body, you have to look for other tell-tale signs that most abductees have reported.- They include: ■
• Lapses in time and being unable to remember or explain your absences for periods of hours or even days. . . . .
• A fear of falling asleep.
• Insomnia or disturbed sleep, particularly waking up at the same time during the night.- –
• Waking up during the night with unusual bodily -sensations: ‘

• Change in sexual preferences (thought to be the result of abductees identifying very strongly with the male or female abductor).
• Pregnancies that correlate with abduction rime ‘

• Miscarriages after a suspected abduction.
• Physical marks or evidence of physical manipulation which can include scooped scars, bloodied noses, Or even deep lacerations. Often these cuts heal in record time.

HYBRID BABIES
One of the most disturbing elements of alien abduction is the reports that humans are being used to produce hybrid babies which are then kept by the aliens. If they are true, what is the reason for the hybrid baby process? Are aliens merely ensuring the genetic continuity of both faces or do they have a more sinister plan which would result in the destruction of the human race and its replacement by these half-caste children? As with many UFO-related subjects, countless theories exist about the reasons for this genetic-engineering programme and they tend to reflect a person’s feelings about aliens.
In a recent issue of Fortean Times, journalist Peter Bfooksmith debunked the whole idea and said none of the people investigating the claims had ever
BNEBIEH’S UFO COVER-UP
produced documented medical evidence to prove that any of the abductees had been pregnant at the alleged time. ■
Joe, a 34 year old psychotherapist and patient of American author, Professor John E. Mack, believes he has a dual existence, as both a human and an alien. Mack wrote of Joe’s and other abductees’ experiences in his book Abduction – Human Encounters With Aliens. While under regression, ‘Orion’, Joe’s alien side, explained to Mack what the hybridisation project was all about. ’ .
The procedures, he said, were necessary so that “humans aren’t lost in their race and their seed’and their knowledge”. Since the human race is in danger of wiping itself out with its own negative technology, hybrid children would be raised by aliens. “If the humans totally die – we have their children,” he told Mack. Aliens would crossbreed with other species found elsewhere in the Universe.
Matrix takes this a stage further and rules out any alien consideration for the human host. It is believed the aliens are using humans purely to enrich their own genetic capability and to obtain the human emotional and psychic characteristics. Matrix described it as causing “premature ■ deterioration of the female host”.
However, Mack said such is the great empathy abductees eventually feel towards aliens, they begin to change their traumatic and “often bitterly resentful” feelings about the hybrid procedures and

the project, to one where they “may come to feel that they-are participating in a process that has . value for the creation and evolution of life”.
He raised the. question of whether the hybrid children exist in a purely material plane, despite their very real physical manifestations. “But allof this may be in some mysterious way, a kind of play of consciousness, embodied in some sense, yet at the same time separate from our physical bodies. It could all be ‘education, a kind of mythic drama, intended by a transcendent intelligence to move our being to a higher level.” The hybrid babies are often described by those who claim to have seen them as having humanoid, features with very large heads but looking listless. ■ Jody, the father of a 16-month male hybrid child, said after seeing them, that it was as if they were, finding it difficult to cope with being fully alive. Joe, Mack’s patient, said he saw babies that ■ looked human except for big eyes and bony eye sockets. Other abductees described the hybrid, babies as exceptionally beautiful by our standards with porcelain skin and long limbs. Sexual activity between humans and their alien. abductors is a recurring theme in many abductees testimonies. While a few talked of it as an orgasmic intergalactic love-making experience, the majority said it was a humiliating, even rape-like occurrence.

to remove or fertilise the eggs of female , . abductees. The aliens are believed to.leave the developing foetus inside the human womb for about 90 days before removing it and placing- it in a container on board the spacecraft to . incubate.
Women recall being impregnated by aliens and later the trauma of having the hybrid or even human foetus removed with little or no compassion shown by their alien captors. Jenny, a 32 year old housewife and abductee, recalled under hypnosis how she had been only 13 years , , old when she had undergone a terrifying . ‘ ‘
gynaecological examination by the aliens, which culminated in the removal of a foetus. The episode was also included in Mack’s book.
“One of the beings put his hands oyer her eyes and pressed something that Hooks like a tube’ through the wall of her abdomen above the umbilicus.” jenny then experienced a relaxed, . sleepy feeling before the aliens inserted a shiny, horseshoe-shaped object inside her. When it was . removed, the horse-shoe instrument held a skinny, ten inch foetus with tiny hands and a ” very large head. .
Jenny was regressed back to the age of 13 in hypnosis and cried out: “Why would they do this? I don’t understand this. I’m too little to have a baby..,If they’re gonna do this, they should at . least tell you.” She believed she had undergone

about. 50 such vaginal procedures involving the implanting or the removal of something.
KLIEN NURSERIES
Both male and female abductees reported the unforgettable sight of row upon row of hybrid foetuses in containers aboard alien spacecraft.
David Huggins, an American abductee, wrote in The Leading Edge that he had no knowledge of his hybrid offspring until he was shown an incubating room by an alien-being who resembled a stick insect. After being shown a hybrid baby, Huggins pleaded to be able to get closer to it. “It was as if I was looking…at a pen-and-ink drawing that moved…I reached out and touched the baby’s hand. Sparks flew froth my fingers.”
He was then shown into another room, filled with incubators in which were the hybrid babies. “I was looking around and wondering whose babies they were. The insect (alien)-being pointed to the babies and then pointed to me. It was my turn to be floored.” Huggins was allowed to touch them all but was then forcibly removed from the room.
Mack reported that many of his 80 abductee patients (or ‘eXpefiehcers’ as he likes to call them) had recalled similar sightings under hypnosis. “AH of this is deeply disturbing to the abductees”, he said, “at least at first, or when they first remember their experiences.”

In regression, many of the abductees recalled playing with hybrid children. Sometimes, the experiencers had seen older hybrid children, adolescents or adults which they were told were theirs. Sometimes, the humans were asked to hold the babies and to nurture them.
Huggins said, “The reason that I was in that (incubating) room was simple. I was to touch all the babies. I was beside myself with joy. I touched every one.”
But not all of the encounters were happy. One woman remembered the aliens* anger when her response was a desire “to tear its arm off”, rather than hold it. ‘
As with most aspects of UFOs, we still only have personal accounts to base our own decisions on. Jody, the father of a hybrid son, said scientists would Only be satisfied that hybrid children exist when they can personally visit a spaceship and film the entire scene.
“We don’t have the physical proof that would make them believe this. But I know what I’ve seen and what I feel. It’s not a mind thing – it’s a heart thing,” he said. ’
Until we are given any more indications or proof of the hybrid programme, and then evidence of what it is all for, we must exercise patience and wait for the mystery to unfold.
